Listen in as Hayden McCoy, CFP®, Founder of Synergy Wealthcare Solutions, shares her personal story and how this experience led to a career in fighting financial crimes as a financial planner. She shares data regarding the financial and human cost of these crimes, the psychology of the fraudster, and most importantly, how to talk to a loved one about this issue when you are concerned.

Hayden McCoy believes you don’t need a cape to be a crime-fighter. Her heart’s mission is combating financial crime, especially elder fraud.

For over a decade, Hayden worked in Europe as a controller and consultant, specializing in fraud and financial crime. In 2016, she left the corporate grind to help her mother manage her post-divorce life and finances. Little did Hayden realize this decision would shape a career in financial planning, and a passion for combating elder fraud.

Hayden holds degrees in economic finance and forensic accounting. She is a Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Fraud Examiner, Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist, Enrolled Agent, and Certified Tax Coach. She runs her Texas-based advisory firm and works as a part-time CFO from Prague, Czech Republic.
