Lauryn is known as a gold and silver Olympic medalist, but like most powerful women that is only one dimension of her true self. Listen in to hear her story, why I was blown away by her keynote presentation, and how you can recognize and overcome stereotypical thinking about women of color and money.

Lauryn Williams is a financial planner, author, podcaster, motivational speaker, and volunteer. But that’s not why most people recognize her name.

Over a period of twelve years, she competed at the elite level in two Olympic sports. Lauryn secured a spot on four US Olympic teams earning one gold and two silver medals. She is also the first American woman to earn medals in both the Summer and Winter Olympic Games.

While the sports journey has been amazing, Lauryn always wanted to be prepared for a life off  the field of play. To prepare, she earned a BA and an MBA in Finance and Business while competing. After retiring, she was struck with a passion for empowering others with financial literacy and became a Certified Financial Planner^TM.

Lauryn now runs her own financial planning company, Worth Winning, and hosts the podcast Worth Listening.
