With over 18 years of specialized experience, she’s dedicated herself to empowering women across finance, business, and entrepreneurship. As a mentor to female entrepreneurs, Kathleen offers invaluable guidance, drawing from her extensive background in wealth psychology and client communication. Her expertise extends to working with financial advisors, helping them navigate the complexities of wealth management while fostering stronger client relationships.

A graduate of Harvard Law School’s Program On Negotiation, Kathleen served as an adjunct faculty member at the McCallum Graduate School at Bentley University from 2009 to 2019, where she taught the Psychology of Financial Planning in the CFP® program. She currently teaches Strategic Negotiations in the Business and Management School at Champlain College. She is certified Co-Active Coach with a Masters Degree in Psychology and Bachelors Degree in Finance.

Recognized by The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and others, Kathleen is the author of Breaking Money Silence®: How to Shatter Money Taboos, Talk More Openly about Finances, and Live a Richer Life, her most recent of five books on wealth psychology and financial communication.

And she’s not all business—when she’s not trailblazing the field of women and wealth, she’s conquering ski slopes and exploring the great outdoors in Vermont, living life to the fullest.

In 2000, Silja co-founded the Topsy Foundation in South Africa, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing vital relief services to some of South Africa’s most underserved rural communities. After successfully leading the organization for eight years, Silja put the succession plan into action and moved to the United Arab Emirates, a melting pot of cultures and a true testament to diversity and inclusivity.

In 2020, Silja returned to her entrepreneurial roots and established Allium, a company specializing in tailored and strategic operational and administrative support for independent professionals and businesses.

Silja’s personality strengths include a thoughtful and organized approach, reliability, honesty and integrity. Her German heritage demands exactitude and attention to detail is second nature to her. Silja has a love of languages and a passion for literature and in her spare time she enjoys gardening, practicing Pilates and exploring new corners of the world.

Julie Kristin - Marketing Manager

Julie Kristin is an experienced entrepreneur who has spent over eight years building and scaling six-figure businesses. With a background in online business and digital strategy, she has spent more than seven years helping entrepreneurs streamline their operations and grow their impact.

Originally from Germany, Julie embraced the digital nomad lifestyle for over five years, working remotely across 25+ countries while building and managing businesses globally. In 2016, she launched a virtual assistant company in Germany, later expanding into virtual operations management in the USA and business consulting in the UAE.

Today, she is the founder of The Hardt Life LLC, a consulting firm dedicated to helping coaches and consultants optimize their online courses and memberships. Through strategic and operational support, Julie empowers her clients to work smarter, not harder—so they can spend less time managing their business and more time enjoying life.

When she’s not working, Julie is pursuing her Divemaster certification, exploring the underwater world, and advocating for animal welfare. She is an active volunteer and member of dog rescue and adoption charities in the UAE, USA, and Europe, helping dogs find loving homes.

Ashley Kingsbury – Director of Wellness

Meet Ashley Kingsbury, our Director of Wellness at KBK Wealth Connection, where she leads with a purr-fect blend of relaxation, curiosity, and tail-wagging energy. She joined the team in 2022 after being rescued from a local animal shelter and soon after transformed into a sassy feline who knows how to use her voice. Ashley spends her time napping, playing, and making sure Kathleen stays balanced and stress-free.
